RegisteredGuest's 1990 Pontiac FirebirdI recently have purchased and then sadly sold a Twin Turbo Race Kit from BBS DESIGNS. Edgardo over there seems very nice and friendly towards customers. Pictures provided by BBS DESIGNS

RegisteredGuest's 1990 Pontiac Firebird

The Kit includes:

1.) A pair of turbo headers with complete laser cut 3/8" thick steel flanges, SCH 40 (1/8" wall thickness) pipes and all TIG welded.

2.) Two brand new genuine Master Power 62-1 turbochargers (natural polish) with tangential turbine housing with V band and one full year warranty against any manufacturer's defects.

3.) Two polished stainless steel 3" dia down pipes with V band and clamps.

4.) Two brand new Turbonetics Evolution racing billet aluminum wastegates with stainless steel main body with steel exhaust pipes.

5.) Hardware such as: header bolts, turbochargers bolts and nuts, turbochargers and wastegates gaskets.

I kind of jumped into this kit to eagerly. I wasn't counting on the motor changes I would have to make along with the custom pieces I would have to buy or make myself. None of the air filter piping, intake piping, BOV, intercooler, or air filters is included in this kit. By the time I figured up all these parts I would have another $2000 to $3000 in the kit and that is just not possible at this current time.

BBSDesigns has emailed me. They do not have the Evolution Series in stock, so they're upgrading me to the Deltagate Mark 2's for free. That should give better adjustment with the set screw, over having to remove the cover on the Evolutions to adjust springs and shims. Downside is the Deltagates are not polished and are slightly larger size.

Sadly it appears BBSDesigns is closing up their shop. Due to the rejects over at SS Autochrome copying their designs.

Edgardo says the headers and housings come back from coating on Friday. All my other parts are there. Should ship next week. YAH!

There here!

Thanks for the polite comment. I definitely try to learn things as I go. Sometimes it works great. Other times I manage to mangle or ruin things.
