Body

I'm not gonna lie. The body is pretty nasty right now. I've got new headlights and tail lights ready for her, and there have been some repairs made, but right now this is it:

HOWEVER, the engine bay has come a long way. Here's the progress it's made over the last 2 years.

And finally:

In the garage at last. But still ugly.

I got some work done on the lighting this week; it needs to pass inspeciton some time. The car's remaining accessories are 99% functional, believe or not.

Here's the front after I test-fitted the headlights.

And the taillights...

Jun. 2006

In addition to a new windshield, I went ahead and got new weatherstripping for the rear windows and re-installed the glass. This was a huge pain in the ass, but will hopefully keep the car watertight.

I also snagged a grill at the junk yard, which I will be refurbishing shortly. You can see my "custom cowl induction," as well, in the pic below.

After searching for an acceptable pre-made hood scoop I realized that I'd be better off making my own (as with everything else). I happened to have a piece of sheetmetal in the garage just big enough to cut and bend into the shape I wanted. A few rivets later, I had just what I needed. It's nothing fancy, but it allows the air cleaner to clear the hood and provides protection from rain and debris. I think it'll look pretty good once I get a coat of paint on the car.
