She started running poorly and had low compression on the #2 and #3 cylinders.. so off came its head. After getting its head all cleaned up, I found two cracks, one running cross ways through the #2 exhaust seat and one through the #3 exhaust seat, so this head was scrapped. I used the left over head from my '70 parts car. It has a slighty hotter camshaft and solid lifters as apposed to the hydraulic lifters in the '73 head. I used the stiffer valve springs out of the '73 head for better high rpm stability. Also took this time to port my intake manifold and patch a hole in the radiator.

Old head, notice messed up valves on #2 & #3 cylinders.

'70 head. Had some machining done to the valve guide bosses to get the valve seals to fit.

Intake manifold ported. Carb's barrels where bigger than the opening so they were made bigger, and smoothed out the angles going to the runners.

Radiator had a fairly large hole but was plugged with stop leak. So I scraped it out and soldered it up.
