HotRod_Merc's 1939 Mercury Custom Winnipeg, MB Customized with Isky Engine Comps., Custom Header, Custom Intake - 24The Flathead is from a 1949 Ford F-1. Its been hot tanked, fluxed, and completely machined to a level of perfection that far exceeds the standard of 1949. Its a .060 over bore, Isky 3/4 Race cam, Adjustable lifters, Stainless Valves from Speedway Motors, Offenhauser Heads, A Fenton Two Deuce Intake with a pair of Holley 94 Carbs, Bright White Fenton Headers, and I've fabricated a pair of custom aluminum water pump adapters/motor mounts to allow for the use of a chevy water pump instead of the original dual pump system.

HotRod_Merc's 1939 Mercury Custom Winnipeg, MB Customized with Isky Engine Comps., Custom Header, Custom Intake - 25I'm not sure if I want to keep this setup though because I have been reading a lot about the blower setups from Uncommon Engineering and Roadrunner Engineering and 300hp from a Flathead sounds really tempting to me. Unfortunately it would mean I would have to do some extensive work to build up the bottom end because the Flathead only has Three Main Bearings.
