1958 Ford Fairlane 500 G code Police Interceptor
Here it is FINALLY. Painted and reassembled. I'm ready to get on to another project now.
After a year I've put paint and the finishing touches on my old Fairlane. I sold this one to a guy in Finland (I prefer 64-71 Mustangs) The interior is very new, and the body looks great considering I painted it in my driveway with no special equipment aside from an HVLP gun and compressor. it has been tuned and the front end has been rebuilt, as well as new shocks all around. It has been registered and inspected, and so far I've driven it about 500 miles to carshows and swapmeets.
Drive train is a RWD 3 speed automatic, 332 cid V8
It's been a year almost since I sold this old beauty, and like everyone that has sold a piece of fine machinery they spent years of all their free time and spare cash restoring... I regret having gotten rid of it. I restored a 65 Mustang with the money from this one, but it wasn't nearly as fulfilling.
