*UPDATE 5/25*
I rolled the truck on a state route in PA due to overworking the suspension with travel and play even with regular maintanance. The ball joints gave out on the passenger side causing the truck to dip in the front and barrel roll. I'm not sure how but I was able to walk away with no injuries. The truck was totalled but luckily my insurance company covered everything down to the stereo. Anyone wanting to put huge tires on an IFS 1/2 ton and plan on doing heavy wheeling with a daily driver..... DON'T DO IT! It looks great but is not reliable. It's been an expensive lesson. However, my new toy is a Jeep Rubicon. It's tough to beat a 70,000 mile drivetrain warranty on something that can be bashed and abused.

This is my 99 GMC Sierra regular cab stepside shortbed nicknamed "Princess". My buddies named it this becuase it looked too damn pretty to wheel but I proved otherwise. I've wheeled this truck hard (and I use that term lightly) for the last 2 years and have finally payed for it with some serious $$$$$ in repairs. So I'm tossing the SSRs for a set of STS all-terrains and transforming this mud whore into a street queen. Here's a list of before and after mods:
Mud Truck (before):
6" Superlift plus 1" Torsion Bar
35x12.5-16 Super Swamper SSR
16x8 Eagle 589
stock 3:73 gears
Assload of body damage
Don't buy Superlift shocks! They truly suck ass!
Street Queen (after):
Added 3" Performance Accessories Body Lift
38x15.5-16 Super Swamper STS Radials
16x10 American Racing Diamond Locks
ProComp ES9000 shocks
Modified 4.56 gears
(Coming Soon) standard side bed and driver side front fender
New paint - Onyx Black w/ghost flames
Rhinolined interior
Future Plans - Bog Racer (when just about everything is broken and needs repair):
SFA Dana 60 - 4.56
Dana 70 rear - 4.56/Detroit Locker
49x20 Super Swamper IROK
Caddy 500 8.2L (have one in my Kaiser)
TH400 (have one of those too)
And a whole bunch of other sh!t I can't afford...

Probably one of the last clean photos I took before all the bashing and body damage. This is a shot with the 35" SSRs - awesome tire!
With the 3" lift and the 38x15.5 swamper STS radials. There's some inner fender rubbing at full lock but nothing to cry about. The truck rides about 100 times more smooth than before. With the worn SSRs she rode like a rattling paint can.
Shown with "Large Marge" the Kaiser M715 military truck - my new mud bogger. Scary 'ol bitch ain't she? She sits on 44s with a pro-built 10:1 caddy 500 8.2L. I'll save the rest about her for another page.
With the additional height and tires it's finally where I want it to be. Check out the custom valance... thanks J!
Missing antenna courtesy of a tree in Ohiopyle. Thanks tree! That's OK... MI radio sucks ass anyway.
The STS radial stretched around 16x10 AR Diamond Lock rims.
Thanks to Shane for labeling everyone's trucks. This one eventually caught on along with Spoiled, Hot Stuff, Thug etc.
My SSRs kicked up a log on an off camber section of the trail and pinned my door closed with the fender. A pair of vice grips eventually loosened it up. Thanks log!
Custom scratch n scrape job courtesy of the fine thick brush and poorly placed trail trees of PA.
Not much to the interior but mud and dirt. Plus one of my buddies puked riding shotgun. I plan on stripping all carpet and inner panels to make room for a full custom Rhinolined interior.
The MTX Audio Thunder 2400 combined with a 12" RF Sub is just enough for the confined space. I might go with 2 10" boxes so passengers can move the seat back.
