Hi, this is my 68' camaro. I have a lot left to do to it, but I just got the motor built and put in it. The motor is a 638 ci. Merlin Lite Aluminum Block. It has a 4.750 stroke and a 4.652 bore, Callies Magnum Crank, SRP by JE dome pistons, (Motor has about 14.5:1 compression) Manley Pro-Style Aluminum Rods, Childs & Albert Dura-Moly Rings, Clevite 77 "H" Rod/Main Bearings, Dart Big Chief 18 degree heads, fully CNC ported with 2.400/1.900 valves, a custom nitrous cam by Doug Herbert, specs are: 320/336 duration, .763/.717 inch lift. Intake is a custom sheet metal intake from Hogan's racing manifolds, and on top of it sits two alcohol dominators. (I know I should have went with fuel injection, and am planning to soon). It has custom headers, built for the car. If you know anything about cars, the picture with the hood up is not this motor, as I said before I just put it in, so I don't have any pics yet. I have run it down the 1/4 mile a few times, and my best run was 8.89 @ 182 mph. I know that's fast, but there is a catch, this motor also has a direct port NOS fogger system installed, and produces about a 500-600hp shot of juice, so that helps. It won't be long before I completely slam the car and narrow a 9" ford to go under it. I already have the parts, I'm just trying to find the time to work on it. I expect to shave .5-1 sec. off of the time above, as the car will be about 700 lbs. lighter because the entire interior will be aluminum. I also have a complete chromemoly tube chasis built for the car, and will be using that as well, with a complete fiberglass body. I will update with pics when I get done, but I expect it will be next summer some time. I am going to try and get it done before next racing season. Thanks for veiwing my page, and I hope you enjoy what you see, and OH, don't forget to vote!
