This is my 1989 Honda Accord LX. I bought it for $1500 in November 2002. It only had 104K miles on it but is was several months later that I realized what treasure I possesed. Me and my Hoop Ride has been through thick and thin and she has given up on me several times which led to her being piggy backed safely home. But I never gave up on her and even when I considered putting her up for sell, I just couldn't do...the bond was too strong. I replaced parts on her ranging from water pumps and distributors to radiators and cylinder heads. I think the only thing I haven't changed is the good ol' iron block. And til this day of about 126K, she's almost as strong an ox. And as reward to her I put in many manhours to improve her appearance and quality as you will see.... But the most important thing is that I am happy to own her.
First of all..this is my Hoop ride

About the first thing I did was get rid of the stock audio.
I have installed a Kenwood KDC-322 50Wx4 HU and 4 6" Kenwood KFC-1677 160W 2-way speakers and I installed 4 custom tweeters.
Here is my top of line kenwood deck with tons of features for CD receiver....
Notice the red light which is my custom switch which allows me to turn on my audio system without putting the car key in...what a convience and no beeping when the door is open :)
My custom tweeters I put in the dash...crystal clear soundz

....and in the rear also just above the passengers head. When my windows are down you hear my tweeters real far like the crackling of lightning and then as I get closer, you hear the thunder from my audiobahns in the trunk :)

And obcourse, you know I gotta have some thump in my trunk. So with my 6 years of detailed car audio installation experience I decided to go where I never been before and I came up with this diagram. I call it the "Ultimate Sound System"

Now the reason I call it that is because everything is being done by ONLY by me and I do not have the funds to get all that high tech stuff you see on T.V. and magazines and this here will be my most cost productive biggest installation project yet. It's coming along slowy and so far I have the AW831 subs and the A2002T amp as well as the stuff mentioned above.
Just for fun I had installed these 8' subs with the 200watt amp just to see how it sounds and man these subs sounds like 12's....so I'm definetly anxious to finish the project that will include the other two 12' subs!!!
I have also finish my dual battery setup with the extra battery in the trunk and I installed a dual battery isolator that lets the alternator charge both batteries safely without letting both batteries discharge themselves when the car is not running.
Here is the isolator.
Now due to funds I didn't go with the Yellow Top Battery so I put in a standard battery that I had for extra.
The second battery installed and working. It will be only used to power my three audiobahn amps.

Now if you know a lot about batteries then you would know that the conventional batteries vents explosive gases and putting this type of battery in a closed space is a NO-GO. But due my highly skilled expertise, I came up with a solution...I installed two fans in the trunk that effectively circulates over the batt and outside the vehicle.
This shows where one fan is located the other is hidden and it the one that expells any battery fumes outside the car.
I also realized that this would also serve as a good purpose as when my trunk will hold 3 powerful amps and 4 thumping subs that will all be creating heat. I will update as the project come along and hopefully when compeleted I will be able to get db results.
Okay next I did was custom my guages and gotten rid that dookie brown interior. I painted my interior black and silver (I use chrome paint but it came out silver) The only thing left is do something with my seats and the carpet and possibly the ugly brown seatbelts too.

This is the only paint I used
