This is a 1969 Buick GS California that I restored several years ago. There were only a little over 2,000 built. There was under 80,000 miles on it when I bought it, unfortunatly the South Dakota winters were hard on some of the body panels. They had the California badge on them because they were built and distributed locally out of the Buick plant in California. This one spent most of its life there until the early 80's when it was bought by someone from Sioux Falls SD.I repainted it in 69 signal red and rebuilt the engine. The engine was a high compression Buick 350 (NOT A CHEVY, big difference) and had for the first time, functional ram air induction. Modifications included bored .060, forged pistons, Comp Cam, reworked heads, super coil, rear spoiler and shift kit. It was putting out around 310 HP and 395 ft lbs of torque. This car was very fast as it was running on 14" rims and had a 3:23 rear. I blew away my friends 70 Ford Torino GT so I get to rubb that a little, sorry Casey lol. This was my first restoration poject and it turned out very well considering I spent less than $3500 for everything. I also did a 67 Sport Fury with a HP 440 and recently a 1981 Turbo Trans Am. Look for them on my next 2 pages.
