I've actually had my tranny rebuilt and I have no governor :) :) I've hit about 135mph on the street before. My friend's Celica GT speedometer goes to 125 and he was redlining it (I was ahead of him by quite a ways too). And actually the KA24de isn't a truck motor, the KA24e was used in trucks and the pathfinder etc. (VG30de was in the V6 models I believe..). I've known people with hardbody pickups and they had the KA24e engine. After I get the coilovers out of the way (wich should be sometime by the end of the year) I think I might actually save for an SR b/c thats all I'll have left to get unless I feel like chaging wheels or something. I don't recommend gettin an RB engine for a 240 because it adds well over a hundred pounds to the front axle so it completely messes up the weight distribution and handling. My wheels are great for drifting (only like 15 pounds a piece) and I'm not a big fan of 17,18" wheels so I think I'll keep em. I might put some 225 tires on the rear. But first and foremost I need to find somewhere to go where I won't get into trouble for driving like a maniac :) OK right now I just got a sudden urge to do some weight reduction :) so I'll ttyl

I would definately recommend you get some sort of Nissan/Datsun. You get pretty attached to them like they're part of the family lol. My car is an automatic but it has some pretty good bite to it. I've beat every car I've ever raced (AT and MT), 92 Celica GT, 93ish Honda Prelude, 93ish Integra (I doubt it was a Type R althuogh it had red badges on it..), and a Cadillac STS convertable (very close, it was a 60 year old woman driving too, lol). I may do an SR swap but not any time soon, I'm happy with the KA. Mine has enough go in it to make me happy and have some fun with the RWD so I've just been concentrating on cosmetics and functionality but after I get my coilovers I'll have nothing left but the engine so we'll see...

You've probably got one of the only nice Hyundais around, other than the newer Tiburons. You should get your roof and window trim painted black, I'm very partial to black roofs since I painted mine, lol. A CF hood might spruce up the front end a little too. I got my spacers and stuff all in and I'm just waiting for my front strut bar and a clear dry day to wash her and take some pictures. I'm saving for some coilovers right now, that will make a huge difference I think. I don't think I get up around Rivergate, I live in Brentwood (Williamson County). ttyl
