This is my 1990 Saab SPG in Talladega Red. I bought it in Portland Oregon with 131,000 miles on it while living there. It was sitting on a used car lot (which I NEVER buy from) and was in MINT condition with all records. I had to wrestle it away from aother used car dealer who got there right after me! I picked him up for $5K. It was owned by a professor who drove back and forth once a year to his college in PA. He had replaced the AC, clutch and tranny at about 95K.
In 3 years I have racked "Sven" up to 181,000 and now living in Chicago. He appreciated the salt free winters in Oregon and he is still rust free unlike most older saabs in the upper midwest. He was repainted before I had bought him. This summer I have added 16 inch Aero wheels, tires, the "red" APC, "blue" injectors, direct air intake and catback exhaust all from Swedish Dynamics. In winter I throw on the original SPG wheels with Blizzak tires and also have a Thule bike rack for the roof.
Not sure what HP I am putting out but will assume around 220HP now. HE DOES FLY!! He is my daily driver year round and am really proud of how well he holds up even with Chicago city streets and my aggresive driving nature!
