Restorations? Yep!!
When I got the Sierra in June 2003, the engine was in good condition, but the body was already full of rust (it's 20 years old car, whaddaya expect..?)
After several off-road trips, the back door had enough abuse, the hinge area was fully corroded and the door almost fell off (due to the heavy spare tire mounted there...).

Paint & rust are peeled to the plate. Then the corroded plate is replaced with the new one. Special for the hinge area, it's replaced with a thicker (± 3mm) plate.

It's a work in progress. Back side of the body was done first. I also replaced the already blurred fibreglass side and back windows into a real glass, and covered the interior panel with a grey colored leather-like material, so it'll be easier to clean after an off-road trip.

It's the turn of the front part being restored. The old paint scrapped to the metal. Apparently the left side was badly damaged. So adjustment on the plate need to be done before the paint job.
These are the pictures before the paint job..

And this after the paint job...
