This is my 1972 Austin Mini Cooper that has been reshelled in a 1991 body.
You might ask yourself, why would someone want this car other than the fact that it's cute (not a good thing to tell a guy by the way)? Learn on page 4.
When I bought the car it had the 1991 MKIII grill, 13" wheels, pinstripes, and black roof as some of the pics show on page 3.
I've always wanted a Monte Carlo Rally replica which are all MKI bodies, but they hence come with less technology like non syncro transmissions and hydrolastic suspension. This is a good compromise because it looks like an older Mini but has the parts from a modern like the 8.4" disc brakes, 4 spd syncro box, and dry suspension.
It has been a work in progress. The body may be a 91, but it still had rust in places that needed treatment. I had the roof and number boxes painted white by Bair's Auto in Santa Monica.
4 Rally Lamps

Here's the 4 rally lights lit up.

It's not fast, but it handles like a go kart and sounds loud and crude. I love it!
