Here is my 71 runner, owned since 1986 it has been gone thru front to back. I didn't have much choice after rolling it in 87- I hate when that happens!!! The engine is a 68' 383, with ARP main studs, rod bolts, Hemi spec'd oiling system, and stock heads,( ported and polished) being fed thru a Holley 750 and M1 dual plane intake. The magnum manifolds exit the fumes thru a 2.5" dual exhaust and Dynomax Turbos.

The twist is sentback thru the McLeod Twindisk clutch to the Keisler TKO 500 5 speed od. After choosing the gear via the pistolgrip,

, the 3.23 suregrip transfers power out to the 15X8 Magnum 500 rims, shod with 255/60/15's on all four corners.

,
Bringing this to a halt are the stock front and SSBC rear disks being activated by a modifed vette master. Much needed as the 6500 rpm redline allows for some exciting speeds- can't wait to see what it does with the 5 speed now installed. Those 265/45/17's are next on the hitlist.

The suspension has been upgraded with Poly bushings, 1 inch Tbars, HD rear springs, Hellwing bars front and rear, and KYB's at the corners for control. The factory police package would be jealous.
I'll post more picks when I get them. Especially the ones of the rollover after math. You won't belive it's the same car.

The view the wannabees get, and....
Ok As promised, Here are a couple of "before" Pic's

My baby when I first bought it. Pictured here at the now defunct Myrtle beach AFB.

And the aftermath of a night with uncle Jack Daniels. Stupid STUPID STUPID. You can see clearly the car had 1.5 inch axial twist to the passenger side- not to mention the slight bent roof. All I got was goose egg from unlatching the seat belt. Thank goodness it wasn't a little car.

All better now :))
