Out wheeling one day, needs a lift
Ok i finaly said forget it, being a college student trying to get the cash for a good suspension lift was too hard. I went with a 2" body lift and some 33's BFG Mud Terains on black rock crawler rims. What a difference those tires make over stock.

A tip for others. Get someone to help you with the body lift. Its a pain in the ass by yourself.

I am now trying to decide on what kind of truck to buy for more dedicated wheeling. I am thinking a solid axel 'yota, a 'suki, or a pre 87 GM. I would like some input on that one. It would be an all around truck, for running in woods, mud, sand and some street.
The Bottom Picture is wheeling in Tahoe. Fun trip, but my engine shit itself. So lift and a locker got put on the back burner. What good would they be if the truck couldnt move.

Go with a 3"-4" lift, or long travel kit like I have, I beat this truck as it is my toy, and I have had no problems with my suspension. I have a Total Chaos 3" lift I am selling, as well as front and rear fiberglass. Let me know if you are interested. Keep up the project, it is worth it in the end. Let me know what you think of my truck as well.

If you like to wheel get rid of the IFS as it will break with 35's and good right foot. look at my rif with a straight axle Dana 44. if you want I can help you get all the things together to do the swap. I might even sell you the front springs because I am going to coils up front

The suspension lift that I have on my T is a 4" Pro Comp I am also running a 3" body lift. Eevything seems to be good I have had it lifted this way for about 2 years with No problems wit hthe lift componets. Th eonly problems i had was with the CV boots wearing out fast, But I got some asian hubs to hopefully slow taht problem down. The skid plate is just something i made one afternoon out of extra stuff i had laying around. If you have any other question feel free to email me or reply on my site.
