Brakes/Wheels Details

headpaneer's 2000 Saleen MustangBrembo '00 Cobra R Brakes. A noticable improvement in braking over the two piston, 11.5" diameter stockers. The Brembo rotors are 13" diameter and the aluminum calipers are four piston. The kit also includes very nice stainless braided brake lines by Goodridge. The rotors are powder coated a silver that comes very close to to body color.

headpaneer's 2000 Saleen MustangThe big discs really help fill out an 18" wheel.

headpaneer's 2000 Saleen MustangNo big brakes here in the rear. The rotors are Brembo Sport Series stock replacements. To make the stock caliper look less out-of-place compared to the fronts, I did a little work with a Dremel, files and sand paper to clean up the castings. I then hit them with several coats of Plasti-cote Brake Caliper Paint. The dust shields are powder coated the same silver used on the rotors.

headpaneer's 2000 Saleen MustangDefinitely a cleaner look than stock, though the brakes look a little lost in that wheel. Who knows? Maybe a set of Cobra rear brakes is in this car's future.

Nice, You mentioned all the SALEEN Stuff on it, but was it a numbered Saleen? or did you do the work? In either case very nice car. Mine is very similar in HP. Wish I could fiind some C pillars though. :)

Nice Mustang. I mean it's really nice. It looks so bad ass and it has the performance to go with it. Where was that first picture on the first page taken? Keep up the amazing work on your Saleen. The page is very well documented. Sign my g-book. Thanks!
