Overview shot of the motor. Stock except for the MAC/RIPP cold air induction system, modified to fit up to the throttle body, which on a supercharged motor is positioned in a different location than a stock GT.
This is a custom quick-change "ultra-grip"-style pulley system made for me by South Florida Pulley. Currently, a stock size pulley is installed but if I decide to try something different, it only takes a few minutes to swap to a smaller size.
Team Bread is responsible for these nice cast aluminum cam covers. I had them polish out the center section and engrave this particular ?S? logo, which was a first. The logo was later ticked in" by pin striper Frank Bird. The install wasn't fun at all but the covers really add a lot to the appearance of the 4.6L two valve motor.
Detail of the MAC cold air intake. This is a modified kit for a stock GT Mustang. To get the intake to mate up to the throttle body, length is removed from both ends of the upper intake tube.
The Odyssey battery weighs in at 12 lbs. compared to the 36 lbs. Motorcraft stocker. The aluminum hold down is anodized. Next up are beefy cables and terminals.
This trick aluminum expansion tank is the handiwork of Under Pressure Fabrication and Distribution (UPFD) in Westminster, CA. They provide the bolt-in kit with the stainless line, radiator cap and polished finish.

The '99 through early '00s came with a black anodized aluminum intercooler expansion tank. Later cars were equipped with a molded plastic tank. I acquired a plain, non-logoed tank, stripped the black, refinished in blue then used a magic wand to engrave the logo. ; ) Notice the oil filler cap has the logo as well.
