This is my car, a 1987 Buick Century Limited Edition Estate Wagon. It is a pos car, but i still love it. My main likes of this car are my system, all 100% custom built by myself, and the engine, the 3.8L V6.
The 3.8L V6 is the same engine that Buick developed in 1986 for the Indy cars back when Buick made Indy car engines. It is also the same engine that was in the 1989 Turbocharged Buick Regal GS that the person at Chevy lost his job over. The Regal was faster than the Corvette that year. muah hahaha!!!
And then theres my system. I started with a bunch of Walmart brand stuff, a 12" and a 250w amp, and it was not bad. Then I bought a new deck and decided it was time my system got upgraded also. I bought 2 Rockford Fosgate RFZ3412's on special from Audio Excellence, buy one get one free. And I'm pushing them with a 900w Lightning Audio amp. I built an extremely solid and surprisingly well performing enclosure for them out of 40 bucks of wood from Home Depot. This brings the total cost of everything in my system to around $600. The funny part is that it hits harder and sounds better than some of my friends' $1500 installs at various sound places. DIY is the way to go! Must be doing something right, eh?
