This picture is of my el camino in the parking lot right before a parade in my home town of Billerica, Ma. As we all know, many people think el camino's may be ugly...but I got a lot of good praise from people, especially little kids (because they didn't know what my car was). The mustang you can almost see on the left is one of my best friend's car. I'll show you ford guys that on one of the next few pages.
I've had this car since I was a junior in high school, and back then it had a 305 and a THM 350. After a while, the engine started to knock, and the tranny was slipping a little bit, so I took it off the road, and it sat for quite a long time. After thinking quite a bit on what I should do with the car, my father and I decided that it would be best to put a new engine/transmission in the car. So I searched for an engine builder, and I talked to a guy by the name of Sean Adams and he told me exactly what I wanted to hear(maybe because he wanted a sale). I decided to have a 358 built, with around 400 + horsepower. And I also bought a 700-r4 for 50 bucks, and then I brought it to Precision Transmission in Woburn to have it beefed up, and a shift kit installed for $700 bucks.
