olddirtybaytown's 1986 Buick Regal

olddirtybaytown's 1986 Buick Regal

This is a LOOK-ALIKE for my regal until I get a scanner and a polaroid. My regal has burgandy interior and the 15" spoke hubcap wheels. This regal is a PROJECT CAR -- It has a blown orignal Olds 307 with stock weak 3 speed th200c tranny and weak 7.5" rear end... This will change...

-Motor

'77-'79 #3970010 hi tin Chevy 4 bolt 350 bare block casting TKK=1/2 ton or 3/4 ton fullsize truck

Bored/honed oringed and completely machined for .30 over with SCAT forged 4340 3.75 (400 ci.) knife edge crank 6 inch 4340 SCAT H-rods and SRP flat-top 11-1 forged pistons quenched with 64/68cc DART/AFR heads (undecided) CNC'ed/heat treated/porting work.
Crane cams roller lifters Crane 1/2"+ cam Milodin Oil serpentine pulley TCI balancer milodin gear drive, Manley valves pushrods & stud girdles Be-cool/ARP, etc...

475-525HP
400-450 BHP/500-550 TQ
2750-7000 rpm motor

-Trans

Chevy TH-400

Manual shift reverse pattern trans mostly TCI. Hipster trans-brake B&M ratchet shift Ram clutch Be-cool Holeshot 3000 rpm stall convertor

-Rear end

Chevy car 12 bolt
Unknown gear ratio posi-trac rear, possible rebuild to 3.73 w/auburn gear

-Brakes

Stock size 10 1/2 inch fronts drilled and slotted rotors w/ 4 piston caliper stops 11.375" drilled/slotted rears w/ 2 piston calipers

-Suspension

8 pt. roll Competition Engineering 4 link 2x3 frame rails & cross bars sub-frame connectors Trans/Motor mounts, driveshaft loop C. E. wishbone locator, rebuild the front end if/when needed and undecided airbag setup...

-Intake

Edelbrock Performer RPM Manifold
Speed Demon 4 bbl 750 Mechanical carb.
(together for $545 @ flantlander.com)
Edelbrock fuel pump 1 inch carb spacer 14" knn 2 1/2 inch cowl hood

-Exhaust

Hooker headers, header wraps
3" dynomax hi-flow "cats"
3" 40/50 series flowmaster mufflers

-Ignition

MSD 7AL3 box MSD 8" crank trigger MSD Pro coil Moroso 40 wires

-THIS IS A STREET LEGAL/SMOG MOTOR, this motor will be enough to get the 3600 pound car into the LOW 11s/HIGH 10S @120+ The TH400 trans is a case--it will be built up, also the mystery posi 12 bolt I'll probably do myself. This is a NORMALLY ASPIRATED motor on 93 octane. Before these are put in place Im treating and painting the engine bay and frame with 2 chemical strippers and Por-15

This is not a frame off resto-I paid 400 dollars for this car and thats my whole inspiration right there.

The fun shits last --Helo Explode 20x9 rims, 35 series Bridgestone Potenza tires two punch power hx2s and a punch bd1500, shave handles/trunk, YANK the vinyl top and rear seat for the speaker box, tint the glass and get bumper fillers because I have cadillac rot. It will be repainted black with way too much clear coat.
This will be a daily driver and is my first project car but I guarantee one of the best Regals on this site and definitely in the Houston area. Im not going to set a due date--Im struggling for $$$

Pics of the car asap
