Engine head gasket went bad....
Updates 11/16
11/17 Got the heads machined and back from the engine shop pretty fast turn around in less than 3 hrs they were all done. As you can see they cleaned up nicely.
11/18 Got bored and painted the heads. They look pretty cool with 500 deg High Temp engine paint on them.
11/19 Put the heads on and water pump
John helping me out on the head gasket.
11/21 Did some work on it this afternoon for about 2 hrs. I got the intake manifold torqued and the water gaskets installed the plugs and the water outlet.
Progress tonight Got the cams installed and put on the valve covers installed the timing belt and timing belt cover.
11/22 Well the engine is back together tonight we cranked it over but it wouldn't start. At that point I smelled gas I found the fuel rail under the intake was leaking... arrrggg I took the intake manifold back off the aluminum fuel fitting crush washers must have fallen off and better yet I can't find it. I also noticed the water pump was leaking
Fuel rail leaking
Water pump leak...
11/23 Fixed the fuel rail leak and got it running it runs like crap but it's a start. I may have to mess around with a few vaccum lines and do a timing adjustment but it lives...

Hey dude....just wondering how that FJ80 setup is working for you. Also, if you dont mind me asking, how much did it run you? One more, what are you using for shocks? Oh yeah, your truck is sick....

Yeah, the um...gears I broke were um.... 4.88s. $2,000 dollars later my truck is done sporting a set of 5.29s with a lifetime warrenty. I took my truck back to the sight were I broke it and I am now actually kind of glad that the 4.88s gave up. 5.29s are sweet.
