Here she is. This is my 1970 Chevelle SS. It's been in the family for all it's life. Was originally my uncle's car, but he no longer had time for it. My dad owned it for the last 13 years, and now it's mine. After receiving the car, I had it completely restored in May 2003. Have over $35,000 put into it...but it's definetely worth it.
Here's a shot of the spilt grille with the SS emblems. I replaced the original bumper with an identical one done in stainless steel. Looks real nice and it's more durable then chrome anyway.

From the side.

Side angle front shot. You can see the Cowl induction.

Shot from the driver's perspective about to enter the car.

What's a car without rims? These are the original super stock rally tires. Had to refinish and polish all of them (that was a bitch!) but they look great now.

Front nose shot.

Nice picture of the rear end of the car. Redid the exhaust about 2 months before complete restoration. They are SLPs. If you're looking for a great sounding, performance exhaust system I'd go with SLP. Most systems use 2.25" inch but SLP uses 2.50". Noticeable difference in flow and HP. Sounds mean too, just like it should.

Here's the guts of this beast...the 454 baby!!! That's what really makes this car shine. Although experts rate this engine at about 450 HP (thats net, not gross) I've been dynoed at 493-501. The exhaust might have added a few ponies, and I redid the camshaft but all and all I believe that these have made little impact on the power rating on this car.

I'm even GM certified.

I've been in a couple shows since I've gotten the car into show condition, I'll try to have a few pics up of that soon.
I'm also thinking about maybe buying a clone of a '70 Chevelle or maybe a Camaro to chop up (although I'm not a gigantic fan of modifying) to have fun with. But for now I'll have to wait...no way I'm gonna take the chopping block to this thing.
Now check out my dad's ULTRA RARE 1969 GTO JUDGE!! The FINEST GOAT out there. Page 2.
