Hi everyone!
This is a Sounddomain page of my 1994 Citroen ZX.
The Car
This Citroen model might look a bit boring but it's quite nice to drive. It's slow but still enough to move the stereo around :).
I wanted to keep the car mostly in it's original shape. Besides the stereo there'e some modifications made to the car's exterior and interior but there's not much to brag about.
Some exterior mods:
- 15" OZ Racing Superturismo GT wheels and Michelin tires
- Steering wheel from ZX Volcane
- Bright turn signal markers
- Almost all badges removed
- Rear screen viper removed (not shown in pictures)
The stereo
My goal was to get some high quality sound in the car and at the same time keep the system as simple as possible. Here's the system I've installed in the car:
Head unit: Pioneer DEH-P88RS
Amplifiers: Rockford Fosgate Punch series G150a2 (tweets), G200a4 (bridged for mids) and G250a2 (sub)
Tweeters: Brax Matrix 1.1
Midrange/midbass: Rainbow Germanium W130 (5,25")
Subwoofer: Magnat ADR300 (voice coils wired in parallel = 2 ohm)
Rear speakers: none
Power cable: DLS 33 mm2 (2AWG)
Signal cables: Tasker C850 (tweets and mids) and Cordial CMK 222 (sub)
Sp eaker cables: AIV Silverstream (tweets and mids) and some brandless 6 mm2 (sub)
Battery: Optima Yellow Top 55 Ah
Subwoofer enclosure: ~ 1.8 cu.ft vented with tuning freq. around 30 Hz
Head unit
Pioneer DEH-P88RS head unit was installed in a mildly modificated stock location.
Front stage
Tweeters and mids are installed in doors. Installation panels are currently finished with mat black paint. Doors are dampened with several layers of 4 mm thick bitumen and Vibroplast mats.
Trunk
Amplifiers and sub are located in trunk. Installation is finished with black carpet. White led stripe is used for lighting.
That's all folks! Please rate my sound system.
