Under The Hood
Here is a look under the hood. The engine is a 3.8L V6. I have put in an SLP cold air intake kit, a K&N filter, and I have taken out the air silencer and replaced it with a PVC pipe.
Here is my intake lid, I painted it silver and added the SLP decal.
Here is the K&N filter.
Here is the PVC pipe that I replaced the stock air silencer with. The grey wire coming out of it is the tempature module for my dakota digital gauge. This mod is great, not only does it increase horsepower and throtle response but it has also gave my car a deep throatie sound. Most people ask what type of exhaust I have but I tell them that it is just me air intake.
I have put put in the hyperthech 160* thermostat. I have also reprogrammed my car with the hypertech power programmer III. It has really made a difference.
I got a flowmaster 80 series muffler and magnaflow dual, oval, rolled, angled tips. (yes i did have this professionally installed)
