Alpine CDA-9847 & iPod
This is my new Alpine head unit which is wired into the factory Bose sound system. I have plugged in to the Ai-Net port on the Alpine HU, the Alpine iPod adapter.
With the iPod adapter, I now have a direct signal from my iPod to the HU (NOT via modulator, cassette adapter, etc.) which sounds awesome. I can completely control the iPod from the HU, plus it recharges the iPod while in use.
Another nice feature of the Alpine 9847, is it's illumination options. You can select Blue, Green, Red, or Amber to match your interior lights.
Delphi SkyFi XM Satellite Radio using Delphi FM modulator.
I chose the Delphi XM radio because it's very nice and easy to use, plus at night the red screen matches the factory red gauges perfectly giving it a very factory look.
Here are some updated pictures that show the main unit and the mounting location of the antenna. The antenna works fine even located inside the vehicle. Signal is lost usually only in tunnels and under long overpasses when driving slowly.
