Welcome to my sad ass attempt at a website. This si all currently under construction so forgive the half-assedness and incomplete appearance.
Below are pics of the modification and installation of the factory headers from a 1986 Ford Aerostar onto the 1985 2.8L V6 in my 1987 Ranger. Normally, the installation would require cutting and notching of the frame on both sides of the engine to allow adequate clearance betwen the frame rails and header tubes. I come from an Engineering background (which makes me overly paranoid), and frame cutting was not an option that I wanted to consider. Therefore, modifying the headers themselves was the only option left, other than spending an obscene amount of cash on a set of Pacesetters.

All in all I'm satisfied with the results. I have used them for over a year now and I have yet to have any issues as far as cracking and such goes. I plan on making up another set for my fuel injection conversion this winter. I will probably use the same method, only I may use a TIG welder this time to try and make the welds a little more pleasing to look at.
