'88 Nissan 300ZX SS Turbo #34 GT1
This is my Z that I got in October of 2002, which I planned to make into a daily driver, part time track car. Well, after several months in the garage on jack stands it came out a full track car! It's equipped with an Autopower 6 point roll cage and Stroud Safety 5 point cam-lock harnesses. As of right now, not much has been done performance wise with the exception of upping the boost a little, and replacing almost all the bushings with polyurethane. I'm building the car up to compete in the COMMA Challenge Series next season and also participate in the COMMA 6 hour Endurance Races. So far is has made several track appearances for shake down runs, and everything is purring along nicely!

Now, this car is pretty slow down a drag strip, but it sure can find it's way around a road course with the best of them! And as always....I'm looking for sponsors to help defer some of the event entry fees, please e-mail me if you're interested!
So far, some of the work that I've done to this car include:
-KYB Struts up front
-Tokico Illuminas in the rear
-Suspension Techniques Springs all around
-Prothane Bushings
-HKS Blow-off Valve
-Custom Side Exhaust
-Gutted Interior to make room for the roll cage
-Kept the stock Recaro Seats
-ACE Hardware Manual Boost Controller
.....and a few other odds-and-ends.
***UPDATE 3/12/03***
I blew up the motor.....still havn't figured out exactly what happened, but I had already purchased a J-Spec VG30ET, so I wasn't too worried about it....untill I found out what I had to do to make the JDM engine work with my car. But I'm almost done with the swap and hopefully it'll be back up and running in a few weeks...here's some pictures of the empty engine bay.

***UPDATE 6/21/04***
Well, the car was fixed a few weeks after the last update, and I never updated this page. It's got a few small tuning issues, and needs a new radiator, but other than that, it's still drivable and racable, but it's not at it's full potential. I just havn't had time of lates to get it all fixed. Here's some pictures from a Porsche Club Auto-x a few months ago.

***UPDATE 8/12/04***
Just as I was getting the car running strong again, something happened and the engine caught on fire in my driveway. Burned up pretty bad, but at least it's fixable. I'm currently in the process of finding the parts, and she should be back up and running by the middle of next month. I'll keep you all updated.

***UPDATE 1/03/07***
Yep, it's been a few YEARS since I updated this page.....and the car is still not running! I almost had her together again from the fire when I got laid off from my job and relocated to Savannah, GA. Since the car was not running, I had to leave her behind in Oklahoma. She sat in a barn for two years until last month a friend of mine was kind enough to tow it out here for me. Now I'm just waiting on a few more parts and hopefully she'll be up and running again. I'll post up more pics once she's alive!
***UPDATE 3/19/08***
Ok....so it's been here in Savannah for over a year now. BUT....I finally found the part that I needed, and she actually started up last night! She ran for the first time in 4 years! It has some timing issues I need to get worked out, so hopefully I'll be able to give that some attention in the next few weeks.
***UPDATE 4/23/08***
She's running a lot better now! I've been driving her all over the place now. Still a little work to do....but I'm really happy with the progress. Hope you all like it!
