A little history:

When the Uno came in production in mid-80s, Fiat thought that the small body with 3 or 5 doors just wasn't enough. So the designers decided to build other cars based on the Uno. That's how the 2dr Premio, the 4dr Duna, the 3-5dr Elba (Duna Weekend in some countries) and the Fiorino came in production as well.

The Duna and the Duna Weekend came in Europe in 1987 but made no success in sales. Italians believe that the Duna is the worst vehicle Fiat ever made. The difference between the european models and the south american ones was actually the dashboard and the fact that while the Duna imports were discontinued in Europe the south american models got new engines and some minor retouches.

Engines in Greece were limited to the 1.1ltr/58hp (Duna 60) and the 1.3ltr/68hp (Duna 70), while Europe had as an option a 1.7ltr diesel engine as well. In South America the Duna was also produced with a 1.5ltr engine. Later, the three petrol engines were replaced by two 1.4ltr and 1.6ltr.

My Car:

I'll never forget the day that my father came home driving this car. I had no idea that he was planning to buy a new car and when I saw it I was amazed! It's small (4.037 m) but with a large trunk (503 ltr) and little fuel consuption.

When I turned 18 and got my driver's licence my father gave the Duna to me, as he had a Fiat Tempra SLX as well. Currently it's got 232000 km but still runs as if it's new cuz we took really good care of it all these years. I love that car and I thought it would be nice to share some pics of it with you people.
