This is my page for my old 1989 Ford Probe GT. I no longer have this car, but I had some pictures of it, so I made this page.

Anyways, this was a good car, up until about 270,000 KM's, where EVERYTHING started to go at the same time. I replaced all 4 struts, alternator, battery, tires, front wheel bearing and hub, clutch, tie rods, brakes, timing belt, muffler, paint... You get the idea. Great car otherwise.

The turbo would kick in at about 2000RPM, and when it did, you got sucked into your seat, and continued to really pull until about 4500-5000RPM where it would be wise to shift to continue best acceleration.

I'm not going to rant and rave about how fast this car was... In a race, it would actually keep side-by-side with most 5L camaros and mustangs, but thats not saying much :-) I'll just say it was fun to drive.

yo i noticed u commented on my car so im commenting on ur old pgt as well. i like that tint mod and i will look into it. also, my clutch swap took ungodly amounts of time,...the tranny was factory tight, we tried to get it out with a small quick jack and that was a failure- we later used a garage jack which worked well. The slave cylinder took a shit on me in the process had to replace that also. bsides that and it being cold as hell it went kinda smoothly.

thanks for the courteous apology. i am not an angry person. but i do get riled up when it involves my car - and especially to that extreme. its ok not to understand someone else's tastes in automobiles. its not ok to just start talking trash to someone solely because they stray from the pack in the automobile world (i like to be different). the sexual comments you made were waaaay off base. i only ask that you be a little more careful in how your present your opinons to people in general. try a more intellectual approach - mention what you do and don't like about a particular vehicle and specifics of why, what you would have done differently. thats how the car hobby/craft is improved, by people exchanging ideas and expertise. i think that is also why cardomain is such a great tool. i posted the links to cardomain on turbododge.com (comprised of hundreds of members of differing ages and backgrounds) and all the replys i got where that i handled my response to you in the utmost mature manner. it was not my intention to come off as angry in my first comment to you. but to only show my hurt and frustration at being vocally abused. but anyways....good luck with your future car projects.
