Late Summer 2004 . . .

While 'waiting' for the suspension and rear-end to fix itself (i.e., looking for used parts) I picked up an early '80s 350 4-bolt and a couple of '70s 624 heads.

The 4-bolt looks in visually good shape. Hopefully all this virgin block needs is a good bath, .010 over and a set of flat-tops. Like to keep those X-rods though! ;-)

The heads are good for low compression/mild performance applications to a tick over 350hp (like mine for starters) . They look in great shape visually, but the clean-up will tell the tale.

Thanks to Paul for the great parts! (Paul also runs a '67 Chevelle with a 454, high-rise and dual 4-barrels into the 9s.)

Here's a few pics ..
