I picked this '94 VR Calais up for $9000 in August 2003 after my '94 EF V8 Fairmont Ghia developed a mechanical problem that was too expensive and hard for me to bother with. The VR came with 131000 k's on the clock which (from what I understand) was a bit under par for its age.
I haven't done a lot to the car since picking it up yet. Option wise, it came with the full leather interior (pics soon). Also it's been fitted with HSV slotted and drilled discs all round and the wheels are the VQ Series I Caprice wheels. The centre caps were stolen from the previous owner and I replaced them at a cost of $67 each (I haven't taken a photo with the replaced caps yet though.
The main fan on the car didn't work when I picked it up, and the ambient temperature sensor was screwed too. I fixed the later myself with a bit of wiring, but the former had to go to Holden for repair after the car overheated badly a couple of times. My ownership of the car is still only young, but in the near future I'm planning a few modifications including an SS bodykit, Kenwood sound system, new Monroe suspension and a sports exhaust system. Once these things have been done I'll start working on some more performance modifications.
