My 1971 Nova. It has:
Carb - Carter AFB (I think it's 750cfm)or Holley double pumper (I usually run the Carter because I drive the car to work and the Holley gets horrible mileage)
Cam - Edlebrock Performer
Intake manifold - Edlebrock Performer
Power adder - Holley "Sniper" 100hp shot
Fuel pump - Holley Blue (loud)
Trans - TH400 with shift kit and Holeshot 2400 converter
Shifter - B&M Pro Ratchet
Rearend - STOCK 3.08 gears (weak!)
Shocks - KYB all around

My dad with the car on the day that I first saw it. It was an old lady's from Monterey. She had been hit on the passenger door and it wouldn't open (you can see why). The old lady's son kept asking my dad how much my dad would pay for the car and my dad kept saying $500. Finally the guy gave in and my dad asked me if I wanted to buy another Nova - "of course!" I said. So I gave him the money and he brought it to his house until I could come down from Sac and work on it. So I bought a door and fender for $150 and put them on. Then two weeks later I rearended a big work truck. I replaced the fender on the driver side, hood, grille, bumper...everything except the passenger fender. Then I got it painted, put rims on it and a year later put a V8 in it. My powerglide went out...I got a TH 350, it leaked...I now have a TH400 (Thanks Dale!) with a B&M converter.

Some engine swap pics. Original 250 six cylinder got YANKED!!!

PAINT:
The paint was done by Shawn's Auto Body in Salinas. I pretty much trusted him with the color. He told me I'd like it so I said okay. It is a silver with gold and blue flakes in it. These pics don't do it justice.

My first Nova.
It was a '63 and was totally stock.
I fell asleep while driving through Fairfield and flipped it. I was able to crawl out the driver window and I was unhurt...until I walked into the barbed wire fence that was wrapped around my car, and that I couldn't see because it was 2:30 in the morning. So my hands and legs were all cut up and bloody when the CHP arrived.
