Welcome to the vader project page.
Vader is a 1987 Bronco II That has been extensively modified by my students for use offroad.
This truck was purchased 3 years ago for $300 with a melted #1 piston and a broken window. Today she's one of the nicest trail dedicated rigs I've owned.
This is after we installed the 6" skyjacker suspension lift kit. At the same time we painted the entire exterior with Herculiner.
The tires are 33x13.50's mounted on 15" rock crawler black rims. The axles were regeared to 4.10 but we are in the process of upgrading to a Dana 35/8.8 combo geared to 5.13.
At the present time the rear axle has a spool and the front is open for greater control.
After about 4 weeks of modification and hard work the Vader Project hit the trails for the first time a Uwharrie National forrest.
The front bumper was replaced with a TJM winch bumper donated by PTC factory outlet in Peachtree City ga.
A WARN M8000 winch was installed in the bumper to provide recovery options regardless of how badly we got stuck
At the same time we upgraded the electrical system with dual Optima Red top batteries that required some shuffling of components under the hood.
Also the cooling system was agumented with a High flow electric waterpump to prevent tempture spikes during slow high power activities.
Well we just got back from Sparkz place in Hazard Ky where the vader project wheeled with TRS at the fall roundup. Thought I'd throw some pictures out there.
