1984 Pontiac Trans Am WS6

Originally: L69 305ci 5.0 Liter H.O.

I Purchased this car from a Friend of mines parents. They had owned the car since 1984. The car only had 40,000 miles when I bought it in 1999. The car was all original when I purchased it. The previous owners only drove it a couple miles a day since it came off the showroom floor at Palm Pontiac in South Florida. It has every option but T-Tops and a rear defroster which you don't really need in Florida anyway. It originally had functional cowl induction system that was activated by a vacuum switch. (No Digital Camera then so no pics). The originally came with an L69 305ci engine, which was the highest Horsepower engine offered that year. It breathed through a GM Rochester Quadrajet Computer Controlled Carburetor. The car also came with 4 wheel disc brakes and a 3.73 posi rear stock. This car also has the WS6 Performance Suspension Package. The car has many other options that are listed by RPO Code on my RPO page. (Page5)

This car Ran 15.1's @ 88-92mph in the quarter mile with the original L69 engine all stock with the Original 700r4 Transmission and a Catback exhaust. Keep in mind the car only had P215 65 15's (stock size) tires at that time. I hope you enjoy all the info and great pictures on this page.

I tried to make it all work, but eventually I just took out that whole cowl intake assembly (except for the drip rail). Now it's always open so I don't need to mash the throttle to get extra cold air. Thx for the info.

Beautiful car. Is your hood bulge still working without the stock air cleaner? If so, what did you do to make it work?
