THE GRAND AM IS GONE!! I TRADED IT IN ON MY NEW 2007 MUSTANG GT, CHECK OUT THE MUSTANG'S WEBSITE HERE

stangdude's 2002 Pontiac Grand Am Body matched hood scoops and wiper blades, Vinyl overlays over sidemarker lights, xenon headlights and silverstar center turn signal lights (blue/silver by day and BRIGHT amber at night), Mesh inserts in bumper, scoops, and side scoops.

stangdude's 2002 Pontiac Grand Am Nice shot down the side showing the nearly flawless body and closeup of headlamp assembly.

stangdude's 2002 Pontiac Grand Am Windows tinted 20% in back three and 45% on the doors. All emblems were shaved off of the body except the dart in the front bumper. The ribbed side molding is removed to give it a newer look and I fabricated side scoops to finish off the indention in the door left behind.

stangdude's 2002 Pontiac Grand Am TYC black housing tails and chrome exhaust tips, I didn't get around to changing the exhaust, it's still stock right now.

I really hated the way the 2 doors look when you pull the molding off, having the body lines in the door and stopping at the rear quarter looking blank. This is why I decided to fabricate scoops to finish the lines. Look on later pages to see construction pics.

I decided that since I pulled all the badges off the sides, there is no chrome on the car, except for the window molding....now that is black too. I used blackout tape to cover it up and ran a red pinstripe down the window to set it off. I was really kinda playing with pinstripe and it turned out looking pretty nice.

The hood liner was lookin kinda ratty, so I pulled it off and painted it. Had a little carbon fiber left over from the dash kit so I used it on the buttons holding the liner on. They are kinda hard to see but add a nice detail.

Got tired of waxing around the "Grand Am" emblem on the trunk so I shaved it off. Kinda cleaned up the rear end, but the lock stood out like a sore thumb, so I pulled it off and painted it too.

stangdude's 2002 Pontiac Grand Am I also figured since the front is all blue, might as well change the reverse lights to blue too. They still light up blue-white so they are kinda legal....

Here's a closeup of my rims and tires. They're Eagle Alloys wrapped in 225/45ZR17 Falken Ziex 512s. After installing them, the drums and rotors looked terrible, so I painted them red to match the car.

This is a set of 16" Cutlass wheels I modified. I fiberglassed the centercaps so the "Oldsmobile" emblem is gone and now it's a Pontiac dart. Kind of a custom touch for a winter wheel. Yea, there are stripes on the fenders in this pic, I took them off about the time I put the vinyl over the headlights. I do still have a set if you are interested when you buy it though.

stangdude's 2002 Pontiac Grand Am stangdude's 2002 Pontiac Grand Am Pics of the car at the annual River Road Cruisers show in Red Bud on July 4th. I got 2nd in my class. I've only done three shows as of right now, and got 2nd in each one, that first place trophy still eludes me....
