This is my 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner. It's got a 440, 9.1 to 1 compression, .509 hydraulic cam, 727 Transmission (built by Bellflower Transmission) with a Cheetah manual valve body, TCS 3000 rpm stall converter, Jeg's Line Lock, 3.91 gears, Thorley headers, 3" exhaust, 3" Flow Tech Terminator mufflers, Holley "Black" pump, Holley 850 double pumper, Edelbrock Victor 440 intake with a 2" ported spacer, 906 heads w/bowl port and big valves, an MSD 6A ignition with an MSD Blaster 3 coil and 8mm Taylor Pro wires firing Autolite plugs.

Suspension wise it has 275-60 X 15 Mickey Thompson drag radials on 15x10 Centerline Autodrags rear, Mickey Thompson front runners on 15 X 3.5 Centerlines up front, Mopar "drag" torsion bars, Lakewood 90-10 front shocks, Stock rear leaf springs with spring clamps, 2 inch lowering blocks, stock pinion snubber, Monroe rear shocks and Competition Engineering subframe connectors.

I bracket race in the Summit ET series at Irwindale Dragstrip and was the 2002 Sportsman class champion. I finished 7th in the points for 2003 and I finished 3rd in the points for the 2004 Summit series.

Here is an engine shot taken on 3-18-09. You can see my cool can and my home made air pan. The air pan seals to the hood and was worth 1 1/2 mph in the 1/4 mile and .1 off my 1/4 mile et. I also made heat shields to cover the headers and keep exhaust heat away from the intake.

Here are some good burnout pictures. My Mickey Thompson tires don't require as big a burnout as my McCreary's did, but it's still fun to fry them a little.

The car runs 7.50's at Irwindale's 1/8th mile dragstrip with 1.63 60 foot times.

Here I am racing my friend Frank. His El Camino is pretty quick but I got him on this run. You can see my Roadrunner is lifting the front left tire. Oh Yeah!!

Here is a shot of the car getting all torqued out of shape. It usually picks up the front left tire 3 or 4 inches on the launch. I guess this pic was just a little early. Irwindale has great traction!

Here are a couple of shots from the rear. The car is really squatting and leaning and doing everything else it can to hook up. I didn't know it looked that crazy from the rear until I got these picture.

Oh yeah!!! Here's the shot I've been waiting for! Irwindale traction meets Mopar torque! This shot was taken August 8, 2004 at Irwindale Dragstrip. I know it's not a giant wheel stand or anything, but it feels pretty good when the car that I drive 20 miles to the track yanks the tire on the launch.

Here is a more current picture from Irwindale taken on February 18th, 2007. The Roadrunner is still hookin' and bookin'.

Cool man! Look forward to seeing how your car runs. Should be quick! I am going racing on May 22nd at Irwindale dragstrip. I just hope it isn't hot as we seem to be having an early summer right now (93 degrees today). Good luck at the track and with the trunk.
