1969 Corvette Stingray
This is "Hilda". Actually named after my Grandmother, an amazing, caring, human being who passed away at a young 92 in 2003, shortly after I finished the car (well ..nearly finished it).
The car is an early 1969 Corvette Stingray. Over the last 3 years the car has been fully restored and modified with a hint of pro-touring and a hintof the Heinz-Johnson #4 car. The interior, exterior chassis and suspension have all been either restored or modernized.

The original, numbers matching motor has been pulled and replaced with a stroked 396 small block chevy. Motor has a seasoned (left in the back yard for 10 years!!) 350, 4 bolt main block, bored .040 over, KB pistons, forged 3.875 stroke crank, forged 6" H Beam rods, Holley aluminum heads, BG six shooter, comp cams solid roller cam and lifters. Good for approx 500hp and 500ft lbs of torque

In the three years it took to complete the car I had help from many people.
I would like to thank Tom, Joe and Nester from Gedney Gulf in White Plains (technical advice, machining, tuning), Chuck Jr at Watkins Welding in White Plains , Paul at Fairway Auto of Mamaroneck (Body and Paint)
