Oh yeah...That's 3500 Watts of power. I know that I'm slowly going deaf. This'll get finished off, so that it looks real nice eventually, and all of the spaghetti is hidden.

steve_and_rob's 1999 Ford Crown Victoria Pic of the whole freakin setup. Mmmm, bass. The box is custom made; inch-thick super dense wood, super strong bonding materal, super-dark but pleasantly plush carpeting, and security screws...the way it's meant to be done!
steve_and_rob's 1999 Ford Crown Victoria Yep, that's zero gauge. You can see my 1.5 farad capacitor hiding back there. Along with that, are six fuses, four of which are expensive "wafer" fuses; gotta have protection agianst fires and stuff with this setup.
steve_and_rob's 1999 Ford Crown Victoria Beefy distribution block.
steve_and_rob's 1999 Ford Crown Victoria The mighty Kicker SoloBaric L7. Yummy. I've already blown 2 of these, so you're looking at my 3rd, 4th, and 5th subs in my life.
steve_and_rob's 1999 Ford Crown Victoria "Holy crap, look at the size of that thing!!" Yep, old-school Kicker amps are the way to go...at least in my opinion.
steve_and_rob's 1999 Ford Crown Victoria Pic of the other side of the huge amp, along with some bundled up spaghetti that kinda adds up to 000 gauge.
steve_and_rob's 1999 Ford Crown Victoria More boom for my buck...Kicker Baas Boost. And it goes from the trunk...
steve_and_rob's 1999 Ford Crown Victoria ...To under my dash. This thing can boost frequencies a certain amount of decibles. For example, i've got 38 Hz boosted 15 dB right now.
steve_and_rob's 1999 Ford Crown Victoria Pic of those other two amps.
steve_and_rob's 1999 Ford Crown Victoria Here's what those other amps end up powering. These are Kicker Resolution component speakers. Crystal clear sound.
steve_and_rob's 1999 Ford Crown Victoria At the beginning, is an Optima Battery, and a 250 amp fuse before all the other ones.
steve_and_rob's 1999 Ford Crown Victoria To control this madness, i've got a Pioneer Premier deck. I remember back in the day, i thought to myself, "i sure wish i had that CD deck with those dolphins swimming around on it." but i had an '84 Buick LeSabre at the time. Now, i've got my cop car with as many dolphins as i could care to stare at all day! [smiley]. Here are a few more pics of the movies on the deck, which i find kinda pointless since i'm supposed to be watching the frickin road while driving. Here they are anyways:

steve_and_rob's 1999 Ford Crown Victoria Yaaay! finally got My nice Mechman Alternator. Here's a pic of the magnificent peice of work just chillin in my driveway.
steve_and_rob's 1999 Ford Crown Victoria Yeah, i know that my shoe and my camera strap are both in this picture. Sorry. I was too excited i got my 200 amp alternator, that i didn't even realize. The thing that i like about these Mechman alternators are that Mechman alternators kick out a maximum of 200 amps at high RPMs while hot. This is the 95% of the time that you're driving, and your engine is running at its usual, quite hot, temperature. Most other places measure their alternators while they're running cold. This means that the 95% of the time that it's hot, it's actually kicking out a lot less. You do know the basic laws of physics, right? Electrical resistance goes up as temperatue goes up. If you read through all of this, congradulations, becuase i know i wouldn't have read through that really long, drawn-out explanation if i were you.

steve_and_rob's 1999 Ford Crown Victoria Enough pics of da sound system, here's the whole car. Got it at a police auction. Even has the cool cop spotlight on it that they shine in your window when they pull you over. And, what i believe is a dent left by an angry cop in the quarterpanel. If you look closely, you can see it. Other anomalies that this car has due the the fact that it used to be a cop car are: The passengers in the back seats (prisoners, i call them) can't let themselves out, the back windows go down all the way, there isn't any carpet, there are mysterious holes all over the dash, and there's a nifty cop "tap light" over the dash.
steve_and_rob's 1999 Ford Crown Victoria Just because i got this thing with four holes drilled in the roof, i decided that i should make use of them. So, i threw a CB antenna in this one. The wires are completely hidden going to the radio. Now all i need is a light bar...is that illegal? (jk, lol)
steve_and_rob's 1999 Ford Crown Victoria Yes, that intimidating Crown Victoria stance that you hate to see with you local police station stickers plastered all over it while going 30 over the speed limit.

the next page i wrote when i was really tired, and when i had to get a good deal of Calc done. i'm not directly responsible for how dumb i sound next page.

Yo baller- sweet ride, sick system. I'm getting an 02 or 03 crown vic police interceptor in june, and i'm gunna be running 2000wrms of bass, 4000w peak. With your 200amp alternator and new battery, do you still get a lot of light dimming and shit like that? I hate that dimming shit, i'm looking at maybe going with two 5 farad capacitors, or at least two 1.5's.
TIA- arijon2000@yahoo.com

I see the ground is attached to the fender? did you ground your amps to the fraim? I grounded the amps to the fraim, and fraim to the batt and eng block. i like how it looks on your set up. Hot and cold ratings are very important. Does ytour alt loose a little at idle? Mine does, but will put out mad power any other time. come view my vic if you wanna, I also have a email address at the bottom of pg 1 if you wanna mail me.
