1275 cc engine that comes with the car, 4 cylinder. originally it had a smaller engine which was removed, is this the engine I want to spend the time to fix, or is there a better one with more speed ect. email me some suggestions, I picture this car with a small blower coming out of the hood.

Lots of potential. There was a 59 MG Midget (same car) on ebay recently with an older Buick V8 in it. That thing has to be insane. Good luck with the project.

760? 'Bout right for the condition. Take a look at my MG.

Hey, I hope your ride comes along nicely, i have my own restoration project. But anyways, I think that the best engine to fit into that car would be the Chevrolet 327 (5.3). My friend has an Austin Healey that has one in it, and it's quite fast. Remember, when you restore cars, don't cut corners, you'll just regret it later, do EVERYTHING right the first time, and do it good, that way you don't have to come back to anything. Come check out my ZR2 and other cars. Thanx.
