Interested in buying?
I don't know if anyone looks at this anymore, but we've been seeing if anyone will buy this thing. If you're willing to spend between $1500 and $2000 for a good off-roader, this may be for you. The trans is bad (it's a 4L60 non-electronic - just a renamed 700r4), needs a new clutch pack for 3rd and 4th gears. It can be taken apart and fixed for around $400. Rear diff is also locked up. Rip a stock one (maybe even the whole axle) from a 4wd from an 88-89 Blazer (4.3L), no clue on the cost of that though, hopefully less than $200. As for the engine, it's a rebuilt 4.3L V6, less than 30,000 lightly driven miles, and the transfer case has only been shifted into gear once or twice - it's a rebuilt NP231 (chain driven). The seat frame is broken, needs to be welded back or temp-fixed. No heater core, so no heat. If you want it for off-road, then all you really need is the rear diff. The trans will shift into 1st and 2nd gears fine, but that's it.
I think the body, engine, and transfer case are the only good things on this. Make an offer around $1000 and I think you'll be good. It won't move from the driveway (rear diff locked up) so it'd have to be towed (from Columbia, SC). So if you're looking for a good 4.3L engine and/or an NP231, this might be good for you. I kind of doubt I'll get any offers, but make me one. We had to turn down our last offer of $200, since you can't even pull a worn-out 4.3 from a junkyard for that price.

MAY SHE REST IN PEACE
Well, it's friday (12/9/05) right now, the old black Blazer is out at a mechanic's house right now, right next to my new one. Since the rear gears locked up in the back of the black one a while back, it's been sitting in our driveway for months. Then the transmission in the blue Blazer went out, so the black one became a 'donor'.
After the procedure is complete, she'll be brought back to the house and sold without the trans for parts, hopefully a project for someone, etc.
It sure is sad to see 'er go.

NEWEST OF THE NEW NEWS
Just put down $800 big ones for a 1992 Chevy Blazer S-10...its sure a pretty car, in the fact that's its beat up as hell. Check it out Here.

May 30/04: So ends this year, and summer begins. A good bit of people I know will be off at college, while I'll be a senior and have to end most of my fun messing with cars and music and parties after next year. I took the new Blazer down I-26 this weekend, did just fine @ 55 mph. We drove it around, put about 200 miles on it, and it didn't have problems running. Me and Adam got the headlights installed, and we drilled a hole in the panel next to the fuse cover panel (underneath the dash) so we could put the switch in. The lights work, but need a little shake of the brushguard sometimes. I cleaned out the black Blazer and moved my stuff over, but I enjoy the space previously occupied by the subs. Since the cheap aftermarket radio (Xtreme Sound brand) is too much of a pain to unhook (it was wired up out of reach), I'm leaving it like it is for now. The only big thing I'll be doing to the new Blazer is a 40 Series Muffler, but that's it. Enjoy summer, everyone.

October 24/04 - Sold the Suburban for $700. Such a shame, but I'll have another Suburban or a Blazer to replace it one of these days. Preferrably a 1969-72 K5 Blazer. But that'll have to wait.

NEWS: For anyone wondering, I have this page listed under "Off-road" because I take it off road. I don't really race it, I just drive it off road, provided it doesn't fall apart.

Maybe it doesn't have a huge lift or anything. Or swampers or a nicer set of BFG's. But it is a piece, which makes me not really give a damn if it gets messed up off road. It'll cover some pretty rough terrain though. In that case, the IFS shaft usually breaks. Also, this isn't my truck (my parents' truck, hope they don't see this...Enjoy!

Update: I left the two 8" Pioneer combo boxes in the back, but recently added my home-built box containing two MTX 12" subs, which puts out a ton of bass. Also, the window won't stay on track (when I've got the stero on, hehe), the flashers for the blinkers don't work, and the brakes need to be changed.
Hence the name, "P.O.S. truck."

Update 2: Since everyone's asked, here's the deal: My dad has a buncha trucks. I drive the 89 Blazer, pictured here, 99% of the time. The rest of the time I drive the Datsun 620 pickup, which I finally got a picture of. In addition to those, I got a 77 Suburban (which was previously a storage shed) for my birthday...I decided to restore it, which is what this page will be dedicated to sooner or later. Real quick: I AM NOT BUYING THE JEEP (call it a change of mind...). Sooner or later I'll be fixing up the Suburban, which I've set off until college (and when I can afford an engine swap and gas for it...)

Update 3: I added some new pictures of Jayme's 1993 Lexus ES 300 up here, he's selling it for $8000, so if you're interested, check out the pictures and sign the guestbook or whatever, or just leave some feedback on whatcha think of the car, etc. I'll get some pictures of David's Accord up eventually, and other cars.

OK last damn update, I swear! I think...
Many of you are wondering what's wrong with me. You might be saying, "What the hell is wrong with you? Isn't this a car page?" And I say, "Well, technically my car got me to all these places in the pictures, therefore you're retarded" and then I donkey punch you and Amen.
Got the pictures of Jayme's car's neons and stuff up, and David S's car and David W's truck.
Soon to come: pictures of Jayme's new IS300. Check back later.

New Update (9/28/05) - Okay, well it appears I've pretty much abandoned this page, and almost the same as my other one. My new(er) truck's trans went out on the way to Spartanburg, but even before that, I was driving this Blazer up to the lake, and I felt something grinding. I pulled over and got a ride back, met up with my dad, and we came back and I followed him in the Tahoe, while he drove ahead in the Blazer.
As we were going, the rear tires locked up in the middle of the road going about 35, and the car almost spun a 180. We finally just got it towed back and left it in the yard, where it sits until we can figure out what to do with it.
Right now I'm at Clemson, without a car, but maybe I'll have one within a year, perhaps.

If it is vaccume line controled, I would check the line to the actuator. The actuator should be under your battery. Mine had a pinhole in it, and it caused my 4x4 to quit. It cost me nothing to fix it. Good luck.
