Rims...
My car has gone through a few sets of rims...the latest rims being a set of SSR Firenze Pro with BF Goodrich g-Force Sports rubber. (Scroll below for details.)
This was a result of my first ever case of Kerb Rash! D'oh!!
I use Project Mu lightweight lug-nuts, 25gm a piece and comes with a special adapter. I knocked the green Project Mu tips out of the nuts though, as I couldn't agree with the colour.
------------------------------------------------
Set 1: Original 14" BBS rims, replaced due to wheel damage from previous owner. Very nice design, too bad the previous owner whacked them on some kerb!
------------------------------------------------
Set 2: Chrome 15" Advanti Racing rims with Falken ZIEX-326.
------------------------------------------------
Set 3: 16" OZ Superleggeras with Goodyear F1.
------------------------------------------------
Set 4: 15" Advanti Racing dark bronze rims with Bridgestone Potenza G-3. (26th April 2004)
You can see my previous dual exhaust setup here.
------------------------------------------------
Set 5: 15" Advantic Racing grey rims, retains Bridgestone G-3 tyres. (8th June 2004)
------------------------------------------------
Set 6: 16" Advanti Racing white rims with polished lip, shod with Pirelli Dragons. These rubbers were designed for the tropical climate. (6th January 2005)
------------------------------------------------
Set 7: 15" SSR Firenze Pro rims with BF Goodrich g-Force Sports. (6th June 2005)
These rims are 4.2kg (9.3 lbs) per rim and are quite rare. The rubbers are 8.6kg (19lbs) per piece. Good stuff!
I was really hoping not to have to change any more rims but I guess the Kerb-Gods had plans for my previous Advanti rims. Oh well, at least I now have SSR rims! :D
*Update 1-1-2009*
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! To kick things off, a new set of rubber- Bridgestone Adrenalin!
