These shots were taken at Multnomah Falls in the Columbia Gorge. Parked next to me is an equally small Honda Insight that gets an amazing 70 mpg!

More beach shots taken at Pacific City, OR. I have Toyo snow tires on the car that allow it to drive in loose sand really easily. I've driven right up to SUV's that were hopelessly stuck and ended up having to be towed out!

Outside Phoenix, AZ with my custom lowered suspension: my girlfriend, a trunk full of luggage, bowling equipment, and thrift store finds!

Not road trip pic's, but a couple to emphasize the versatility you can get with the top down! The photo on the right shows a 60's vintage chair and ottoman about to make a 200 mile trip home from a garage sale. Inside the trunk is enough camping gear for three days, and I could still put a bike rack on the trunk and haul three bikes if I needed to! The photo on the right is another garage sale score: an 8' tall DVD shelf that came home behind the seats with no problem. Who needs a truck?

Well, it was bound to happen someday, and it could have been a lot worse. A guy in a 4x4 F-350 Extended Cab truck decided to take a left turn from a right lane, but I was already in the left lane beside him. My bumper came off and a fender got squashed, but look at the bed of the truck! I think his repair bill will be more than mine! I plan to have the car looking as good as new within a few weeks.

I'll add more road trip photos as I take them. My next big trip will be through Montana, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Alberta, Canada soon.

Thank you for the pics and stories. For my third Metro just picked up a 1991 LSi Convertible. Pretty good shape with about 120,000 miles. Came with a programmable horn with 34 different horns (aftermarket) Oh man, I'm so excited to get start getting this car in tip-top shape! With gas fast approaching $5 per gallon, this car is a god-send. Thanks again!

Easily one of the most thorough Car Domain pages out there! We've visited a lot of the same places. I like the Swift GT bumper and the new top looks clean. Several years back I had a 3 cylinder 1995 Metro that was a daily driver for a Corvette I had. I foolishly sold traded Metro with only 30,000 miles for my Camry. Now with gas averaging $4 a gallon I am searching for a clean Metro convertible to replace my Camry, which is a nice car in it's own right. I only hope to find one as nice as yours without having to pay too much!
