The Drivetrain Project
The project took approximately 6 months in the making, ending in a drivable vehicle. However, 4 year later and there are still additional modifications being installed..read on.
The starting point:
From talking with friends on Fridays and Saturdays (John, Mike and Nick), to writing it all down on paper. The purchasing began.
The FMS 345hp Crate Motor was the first big purchase:

The motor comes with GT-40X aluminum heads, however, I later purchased the AFR 165cc Heads (the best bang for your buck). I purchased the Cobra intakes, MSD Distributor, 6BTM Ignition Unit and changed the rockers to 1.6.
After all was said and done, the motor was transformed into this:

Of course you have to go all the way and purchase Chrome BBK Headers:

After the motor was complete and ready for the install, the old had to come out. Once the hood was removed, the old tired 302 HO and AOD made it's escape to a better life.

I installed a T-5 Tranny from a 1991 Mustang GT. Installed the FMS Heavy Duty Clutch. I had to make modifications to the center console for the Chrome Hurst shifter. My friend Mike did an awesome job, unfortunately the pictures do not do it justice.

The motor compartment looked like this after the install:

I later purchased yet another custom exhaust my third, which consisted of 2.5inches of aluminized mandrel bent piping, connecting to the BBK Chrome Headers, having an X-pipe:

and Stainless Steel Magna-Flow Mufflers:

Ending in 3inch Stainless Steel Magna-Flow tips:

My ABS unit took a dump, so instead of replacing it with another unit, I chose to go another route. Let's just say that now you can enjoy my new BBK Powder-Coated Red Valve Covers (drivers side at least). Purchased new from Ford, was the SVO Brake Booster and SVO Master Cylinder. Of course painted red. The proportional valve (painted red) and brake lines came out of a 1986 GT. The only fabrication needed was the fittings to connect to the master cylinder. Thanks to Malibu Car Maintenance (MCM) for the custom work.

In addition, MCM also installed the SVPU Rear Adjustable Upper and Lower Control Arms with Poly-euranthane bushings. I do not have any pictures of these products yet, but they will come.
For those that have been keeping with the modding of the BMNLSC, know that it was just a matter of time before the Vortech came into play. I was choosing between the SC-Trim or the S-Trim. Well, I chose the latter and of course I had to purchase the Chrome Polished version.

I had to upgrade the injectors, which are now 38lbs and added the Vortech T-Rex 255lph external Fuel Pump, as well as their FMU.
Additional upgrades which will complete the suspension aspect of the BMNLSC will be in the installation of the SVPU Front Control Arms, with Poly-eurathane Bushings.

A closer inspection of the bushings:

Here are the control arms installed on the BMNLSC (5/21):

I purchased the rear ADDCO Anti-Sway Bar to compliment the front Turbo T-Bird Anti-Sway Bar, however, I had the bar powdercoated Red.

I plan on powdercoating the front bar to match. Of course pictures will be posted.
I purchased the Titanium BBK Valve Covers, however, the color didn't last too long, as with the ADDCO Bar, I had them powdercoated Red as well. But I had the BBK raised lettering on each valve cover polished. The pictures do not do the work performed by Action Powdercoating any justice. Judge for yourself.

Now don't look at the intake...I talk about that below.

Check out these supercharger pulleys which may be installed giving the BMNLSC an upgrade from 6lbs to 9lbs of boost. I have the smaller pulley just incase I come across some major competition...which should provide up to 11lbs of boost.

It was just a matter of time to upgrade the air intake pipe from the Mass Air Meter to the Vortech. I purchased the Anderson Motorsport Power Pipe, which could provide up to 3lbs of additional boost. I personally think I will only see 1 pound of boost from it, but you never know. Well here you can see the before and after pictures of the transition of the Power Pipe, first originally polished, then powdercoated Red.

Unfortunately, my mechanic didnt notice that he was scratching the pipe during the install...touchup paint will take care of it.

I also purchased an adjustable supercharger belt tensioner for the Vortech. This makes my life alittle easier when adjusting the belt. Of course I had to powdercoat it red.

Photos of Tensioner will arrive shortly, it was installed on 5/21).
Next I decided to delete the Air Conditioner, so out she comes and the purchase of the AC Delete brackets were conducted. I of course had to powdercoat the three pieces Red.

Photos of the brackets installed. I have to say that I purchased the MARCH polished Power Steering Pulley, however, didnt receive it from JEGS until after the install...bummer.

And if the BMNLSC were a movie under the hood, the main star would have to be the Cobra Intake...so it was just a matter of time to make this star really shine. Here is the final product.

I don't want you to think that I went cheap on the intake...so here are photos of the underside:

Here is the Cobra sticker on the top to add the final touch:

From the pictures taken above, the sun was really bright today which put a different shade of light on the parts shown. I shaded the intake as I knew the colors were more vibrant. Check it out:

Check out the difference the FMS 9mm Black Spark Plug Wires made. It broke up the red nicely.
