BMNLSC's 1986 Lincoln Mark VII

There can be only ONE.

From the customized paint job to the new motor and tranny, to include the new rear end. Let's begin under the hood: FMS 345hp crate motor; Vortech S-Trim (polished) w/Anderson Power Pipe (powdercoated Red); AFR 165cc Heads; 1.72 Roller Rockers; Cobra intake (powdercoated Red); 38lb injectors; BBK Valve Covers (powdercoated Red/polished); PRO-M 80mm Mass Air Meter; MSD Ignition w/BTM; MSD Distributor; 9mm FFRP red wires; BBK Chrome Headers; 130 amp alternator; Black Magic Electric Fan; AC Delete Power Steering Brackets (powdercoated Red).

Next we have XL Motorsports custom interior leather replacement kits for the seats and center console (Black/Maroon); 5 speed transmission w/Hurst shifter; 3.73 gears w/new posi & Moser 31-spline axles; Cross-Drilled rotors; Custom 2.5 inch exhaust w/X-Pipe (no cats), connecting to stainless steel MagnaFlows; 255lph In-Tank Fuel Pump with T-Rex 255lph External Pump; Vortech FMU; SVPU - Front Control Arms and Rear Adjustable Upper & Lower Control Arms and 150mph instrument cluster; last but not least the Turbo T-bird Front Anti-Sway Bar in the front and the ADDCO Anti-Sway Bar in the rear (Powder coated Red).

From fours years worth of work, money and pain, here is a teaser for you..prior to June 3, 2005 you see this motor beneath the hood:

To see the whole birth of the BMNLSC you have to look at the rest of the site. But before you do, read below IF you are lucky enough to own a Mark VII now.

I have been receiving alot of questions regarding which modifications to perform on a Mark VII. I wrote this in a thread in LincolnsOnLine.com:

I throw this recommendation your way before tackling any modifications on your LSC.

I would first change your gears to either a 3.55, 3.73 or 4.10. This of course depends on what your LSC is gonna be, a daily commuter or a weekend warrior. You will be surprised of what gears can do to our LSCs.

After the gear install, drive the LSC around and see if you still want to go the 5 spd route. However, before you do anything with a 5spd conversion, I would start on engine modifications. I would recommend getting at least another 30-50 horses out the motor. With this completed and you still want the 5spd, look for a mustang donor, to include the pedals.

I say all this because if you install the 5spd first, you will place a lot of strain on the tranny, luggin all that weight without any help (gears, mods). Speaking from experience, I installed my motor and tranny without the gears first, yes, I had a great sounding, looking, LSC, but I was driving around shifting a slug, getting spanked left and right.

GOALS:
I began with the build up of the BMNLSC trying to be different compared with all the other LSC's out there. If you take the time to read my web site, I am quite sure you will be a believer in that I have just about completed my goals in both modding and being different. The last 2 modifications will be a Dyno Chip & Tune and a Stereo/DVD/CD Changer upgrade.
