This is my 1978 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham D'Elegance. Fleetwoods were Cadillacs top of the line model. Its 7.0L 425cid V8 produces 180HP (net) and 320 foot pounds of torque (net), but I plan to swap in an 8.2L 500cid engine in the future (summer 04 or before). It is 222" (18'6") long and 77" (6'5") wide, and weighs 4314 pounds. This particular model passes up cloth and leather to sport a very comfortable velour interior with 6 way power adjustable split bench seat in the front and continuous bench seat in the back.
I bought it on August 21, 2003 for $975. In 1978, the base price for this model was $12,292, this model cost nearly $14000. I recieved it with a Sony casette deck that puts out pretty good sound. I have since replaced that with a Kenwood 45Wx4 CD deck, and I have added 2 Pioneer 6x9 speakers in the newly redone back deck. I also added 2 MTX 10" subs and a Bazooka amp capable of pushing 400W RMS into 1 channel at 2 ohms. The power steering had a leak that has since been fixed. The only thing that doesn't work on the car is the power antenna, that is stuck up, and the horn needs a fuse I think.
