Swifty1638's 1992 Honda Accord

-NEW PICS PAGE 2!!!!!

Hi all! This is my new Honda Accord. The color is Granada Black Pearl. I bought it on the 22nd of august, for only $2800. It sure beats my '91 SL2 Saturn! There is only 106k on the car. The thing is..it only has 4k on the motor! See, the 3rd cylinder lost compression, so a new motor, from a '93 accord, with 50k was put in. This motor was fully rebuilt, so in reality, it only has 4k on it!The motor, specifically is a F22A6. IT has also recieved NGK Spark plug wires. For I.C.E. It has Streetwire cables throughout, and an AudioControl System 90 Model 50 amp/processor. Also, an Audiobahn amp. For Headunit, it is a Panasonic CQ-DF201U. It has a moonroof, 5spd, and I love it! Well, there is a little rust spot over the rear tire, and some on the lower driver's door. I wanna get that fixed, but I got no idea where to take it. I have a maaco's nearby, but I doubt they would do it a quality job..so, I am open for recommendations. Someone please help! I also need new tires, since the front passenger has a high spot, and the driver's has a small gash in the sidewall. I am getting VRD Racing efficient wheels, wit 205/40/17 kuhmo tires. I am leaning towards a gunmetal, as I think an all dark car, wit JDM one piece headlights and carbon fiber eurotails would be cool, but we will see..ya gotta help a fellow tuner out here..

-Gotta say Thanks to Firooz for selling me this car! I have never dealt with such a nice, friendly person. Good luck to you in your future endeavors!

-Anyone wanna see some good local racing? My uncle races his car..check it out here..SARCASM RACING!

http://www.sarcasmracing.com/

Here are pics I have snapped off wit my celly...Not the best of quality, but it shows off my car. I will update later!

UPDATE: I indeed have purchased those rims pictured below. I am waiting for the company to ship me the correct set, and then I will post pics, along with my neons later. Also, I belong to a club, started by me and my friend shawn (goldaccordse) called True Accords-bringing america's accords together. If you would like to be a member, hit me up at one of the ways posted below. Or, conact shawn at goldaccordse..that is his IM. ttyl!

11/3/03-Arg. I am STILL waiting for the correct set. I have been waiting since august! I have been on the phone MANY times asking for the info I need, and they keep telling me different shit.."we will ship the new wheels with the return label for those others" then "we can't d othat..what's to say you will not keep them?" I am like you fuckin assholes!!! So, I took the wheels, and dropped them off at the UPS store here..I hope they get shipped back soon, with my new wheels getting here! Afterall, I am waiting and waiting on this shit forever! Oh, and it is snowing..which leads me to my next topic..besides more brake fluid, I need some wtires for my stock rims, atleast for winter. So, I posted a new poll..please vote. I hope to get quality pics up soon, as soon as my uncle brings his digi cam up, and I get my rims sorted out. I also installed a 6 foot neon strip, but I cannot figure out where to route it! So, if oyu got any ideas tell me.. Iwas thinking I need to get another, and rout them under the dash, to light up the ground..I could also put them behind the air vents, but that would take a long time! So, lemme know! Thanks for checkin me out! Oh, I also got an interview for Tires Plus, so I hope to get that job, and discounts on tires..hehe..ttyl.

UPDATE: I FINALLY got my rims today in the mail..only problem this time is that the accent marks are black ,and the other 2 are blue..damnit! So, anyone got ideas? I am thinking of painting them, but I dunno...someone helpe me. Here are sneek peeks at what they look like..they will go on, when the snow leaves the earth around here! You cannot tell in the pics, but these rims look REALLY deep! I guess only those of you around here will be the lucky ones to see that..until i get my hands on a digi cam..until then..the celly takes the art around here..

UPDATE: (2/1/04)- I do have pics of my car, but not good ones. I have a digital camera to take pics with, but with my luck..SNOW HAS ARRIVED AGAIN!!! So, I gotta wait to put the rims BACK on the car, and install my lowering springs and struts I recieved not too distant ago. I have installed my new alpine deck, along with a pioneer 4 channel amp, and the gauges, bezel, and knob. I also purchased a JDM shift boot, and awaiting to install that. You guys who oen a heated garage are soo lucky! Oh, I also got an MSD ignition system, and pillar gauge pod, with air/fuel mix, and oil pis gauges. I will get back later, as soon as I have more of an update..jsut hold out for me..I will come through...

NOTE: NOT ANYMORE!!! I replaced the tires with winter tires, from work (tires plus) I also did all the work myself, giving me that pride, and sense of security, since I know EXACTLY what was done to my baby.

Brembo Brake Rotors..the slotted ones

Swifty1638's 1992 Honda Accord

Swifty1638's 1992 Honda Accord

-Let's take a moment to explain brakes to you all out there. Thsoe of you who put drilled/slotted rotors on your car..bad idea. True no look can beat them, but they jsut don't work for your application. Odds are, you are not a full on racecar. You either are street, or street/occational drag strip/autocross guy. I myself am an autocross guy. Therefore, I opted for the slotted rotors. NEVER get drilled, unless you are full-on racing..NON-STOP!!! I cannot stress this enough. The reason is simple. Brakes need to operate within temperature parameters. Now, unless you race full on, where the heat is really high, and dicipation is at a must..street braking just doesn't generate enough heat for drilled rotors. Those kinds of rotors will dicipate too much heat, resulting in poorer braking quality. I chose slotted, because the occasional trip to the track for autocrossing events will create a bit more heat. But, these rotors are perfectly fine for street use. Unless you plan on changing your rotors after each event, or whatnot..stick to slotted or OEM rotors. Please..keep it safer for us all on the streets. Anyone have questions..hit me up..
