Imagine if you will the following possiblity. What if Ford decided to make a trim level for their popular 2nd Generation Ford Explorer that was above the Limited with a performance and standout appearance focus? A trim level that had all the luxury of the Limited, added even more luxury to that and then gave it a few design cues to set it apart from all of the other trim levels to let people know that this vehicle was quite special. Remember in 2000, Ford sold more Explorers in a single year (445,157) than any other year before or after. Perhaps this is what they would have done.
