ajquick's 1998 Dodge Neon

Here is an update on what has happened in the last few weeks. We have bought several parts from other junked Neons in order to bring it up to a more stock level, and as well to make it safer and better looking. We bought some of the accent parts that weren't neccisary, but just weren't there.. things like the battery tray cover, and seatbelt anchor cover.

The car has been riced out a bit, but I think it just looks better overall. The car has gotten more looks since they have been put on and positive comments. The first thing put on has been the Clear Turn signals. I purchased these for pretty cheap, but they are great looking.

In addition to the clear corners, I installed RX300 style Altezza lights. These have been a great improvement over the stock ones, as they go with the car great. Although I'd admit I do like the stock ones.. but for the sake of rice they look good.

Just this past weekend I broke down and decided to put a Stereo in is. The stock cassette player was starting to get boring, and I missed my CDs. So I went down to Best Buy, parked next to the SRT-4 and bought the Sony CDX-CA810X. It is an amazing head unit, and the sound quality through the still stock speakers is great.

The Head Unit has RCA outputs for the speakers as well as a sub, so if in the future I plan to I can easily add amps and a sub, which is a nice option. It also has a 7 color display, and lots of cool features. The unit came with a free rebate for some neon 15" under seat lights. So I think I'll send out for a blue one, and purchase another for the passenger seat.

The license plate holder on a Neon looks.. like crap. It puts it out in front of the car a few inches, and is pretty hidious. Since the plates are required in Minnesota, and placing it in the dash looks tacky.. it got zip tied below and bumper, and well.. looks great.

I get all my aftermarket parts through http://www.AutoVendors.net/
