Utez.com was started back in 2001 Australia Day. The inaugural cruise came about when the founder (Troy Street) was trying to organise a UTE only cruise – a like minded gathering of Utez enthusiasts who were into having fun and spreading the ‘Utez word'. Troy hooked up with Ben, a friend of his and told him of his ‘Utez' website and it just went from there.

One week later we had over 50 Utez rock up to see what UTEZ was all about then we had well over 500 members within a month of the first cruise.

UTEZ aims were to be a online forum for fellow Utez owners only, ‘no sedans, no bikes, just utes' and not just any type of Ute it had to have street credibility if it had a bulbar or ariels or had stickers covered all over it like the B&S utes it wasn't going to be apart of UTEZ.

Part of the Utez theme was to make it a ‘Show Group' so members could enter their Utez in automotive shows like ‘Brisbane Autosaloon' etc.

Vision:

Our vision for Utez was to be the largest street Ute club based in Australia then eventually expand to encompass the rest of the world. Our philosophy is simple and covered in the following:

Cruising in your Ute.
Meeting people with Ute interests.
Chatting and networking new Ute members.
Promote Utez vehicles and the pride their owners have invested.
Promote a non-political proactive forum where Utez enthusiasts can have a positive discussion about their vehicles and exchange ideas and thoughts to help one another realise their goals.
Just having fun and being able to get together at short notice for a cruise.
