Body Styling

You have now reached the Body Styling section of my page. Here I will show you the how I did it kind of stuff, & use this page for all future custom work done.

I decided it was time to give the car a bit of a customised look. So I pulled apart the bumper & installed some mesh & took off the stock grille. Here is the result of the project before I had to install my intercooler.

Here are the photos of it installed & a couple of close up shots in normal daylight

Here is the shot after the new engine has been installed. As you can see, I have kept it pretty simple & am trying to conceal the intercooler as much as possible at the moment.

Concepto Styling

As I am going for the whole concept type image, I got a Concepto badge from Korea & threw that on. The C badge has replaced the Hyundai (/-/) logo & I also took off the SONATA & 16V badges. The C also doubles as Craig.

I decided to make the trunk lid look a lot smoother I would take off all badges, & since there are 2 holes in the trunk lid, something had to go there, & with the new engine in, the car is not going to be a Hyundai for long.

For those not in the know, Concepto make body kits for Hyundais also. The only problem is they dont have any for the Y3 but if they did, I would be their first customer. I have sent them a couple of emails to try & track one down, but am yet to receive a reply. Oh well.

Clear Indicators

I decided that it was time for my amber turn signals (guard indicator's) to go. I managed to track down a good supplier & have since put them on. Here are some pics below comparing the stock to after market parts. I am also selling these turn signals so contact me if you are interested.

MotionR Globes

I have gone for the HID looking globes. I think they are pretty cool & provide a lot better visibility then the standard bulb. After many weeks searching for the best bulb I think I have found them. I went with the MotionR 6000K Super Xenon bulbs. They are a fair bit more then the standard blue bulb, but from what I have found the quality of these things are amazing.
